Dr. Lisa Lepine
Learn more about Dr. Lepine and her gynecology and minimally invasive surgery practice at Boulder Gynecology.
Dr. Lisa Lepine graduated from Pomona College with a bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish literature, a love of liberal arts, and interest in world travel. She earned her medical degree from the University of California at San Diego and completed her residency at the same institution in 1994. After residency, she pursued her interests in public health and international medicine through a fellowship in the Epidemic Intelligence Service at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Education and advocacy for women, particularly the underserved, has always been at the heart of her work. She has participated in both public health and clinical work in the developing world, including Kenya, Mexico, Bangladesh, and Honduras. Dr. Lepine has held faculty appointments at both the University of Washington in Seattle and Emory University in Atlanta. While on faculty at Emory, she served as a gynecologic consultant to the Women’s Health Initiative, a large national study that has had a significant and sometimes controversial impact on the use of hormone therapy and other medical care for menopausal women.
Between 2002 and 2005, Dr. Lepine focused on developing minimally invasive gynecology surgical skills through her work at Atlanta Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center. Since moving to Colorado in 2005, she has continued to expand her laparoscopic skills through training in da Vinci® robotic procedures. Dr. Lepine is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and speaks French and Spanish.
